Maternity Nurse
Maternity Nurses are highly experienced in the care of newborns. Maternity Nurses ‘live in’ working six days per week, 24hours a day. Maternity Nurses tend to work with families for up to eight weeks following the birth, caring for the new mum and newborn. Maternity Nurses will establish a routine for both mum and baby, they are ideal for supporting a first time mother, or perhaps for a mother following a Caesearean delivery, or just simply for a family who would benefit from additional support in all areas of your newborn.
Maternity Nanny
Maternity Nannies are equally experienced in the care of newborns, however are good for parents with older siblings as they will not only care for the new baby but will additionally support in the care of the older siblings or keep the children entertained whilst mum focuses on the new baby or is resting. Maternity Nannies tend to work on a daily basis or for a few hours a day.
Multiple Birth Maternity Nanny
These are maternity nurses who are highly experienced with multiple births. They are ideal for families who are expecting twins or triplets. They will support with the complexities of feeding two/three babies at once and are highly experienced in establishing routines.
Night Nanny
These are experienced maternity nurses who will care for your baby during the night, including all feeds. Night nannies, specialise in establishing a routine that will ensure your baby sleeps throughout the night. Night nannies usually work 10pm-7am.

• Registration with PitterPatter Nannies is easy and completely free of charge.
• You can register via email by completing the online registration form or by contacting us directly.
• When we have received your registration form, a member of Pitter Patter Nannies will contact you to discuss your specific requirements to ensure that all your needs have been addressed.
• We then market your requirements for a child carer on our website and also externally
• We personally meet each and every candidate who wants to register with Pitter Patter Nannies. We spend time discussing the maternity nurse’s skills, qualifications and previous work experience. We also spend time finding out more about our maternity nurses. Their personality, views on caring for children (i.e. discipline, nutrition, educational activities etc) and their plans for the future. We believe that qualifications and experience are fundamental when placing a maternity nurse but Pitter Patter Nannies also strongly believe in personality matching between the maternity nurses and families. Pitter Patter Nannies ensure that all our candidates hold a current Criminal Records Bureau Certificate (no more than 12months old), relevant childcare qualification and/or at least two years childcare experience, a comprehensive employment history which we will check at least two references. Additionally we check all original documents; passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate if applicable, driving licence and two utility bills to confirm proof of address.

Brief description of the candidate
Copies of identifications of which Pitter Patter Nannies.co.uk have seen originals of i.e. Passport, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate.
Copies of all relevant childcare certificates
A minimum of two references supplied by previous employers that have also been checked by Pitter Patter Nannies
• We confirm that the candidate holds a clear Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure We will support your family, planning the interview, informing of suggested questions during the interview process, including what to look for in a maternity nurse/nanny.
